Released in April 2003, Upstate Madness: Welcome to Utica is the debut album from B-Cide and a raw snapshot of Utica, New York’s underground hip-hop scene in the early 2000s. Created alongside longtime collaborator Shysty, B-Cide’s brother Sleezy, and other local artists, the album captures the hunger, grit, and identity of an era before streaming, algorithms, or shortcuts.

This project blends street narratives, personal reflections, and crew-focused energy, documenting where it all started. From local anthems to introspective moments, Upstate Madness stands as the foundation of the B-Cide catalog and a true piece of independent hip-hop history.

This is the original physical CD release, featuring full artwork and packaging.
